Hiring in France through an Employer of Record

French employer charges are many and set by URSSAF, the social security collector. These are the three biggest, from its rates page for the private sector.

On top of salary, the employer pays

This is a floor, not the full cost: major employer charges in France are left out, as explained below.

What the employer pays on top of salary in France

The health rate shown is the full rate; it is lower on modest salaries. Family allowances, unemployment insurance, supplementary pensions, accident insurance and several smaller levies are left out, so the real cost in France is well above this total.

Yearly cost of one employee in France, by vendor

Salary plus the charges above plus the vendor's published monthly fee, for twelve months. Not included: benefits and currency conversion fees.
